Kate has been working in the education profession for 25 years. In her role as a Lecturer in Inclusion for Edgehill University, Kate co-developed the PGCert and PGDip in Dyscalculia and Maths Learning Difficulties and PGCert Dyslexia. Kate was one of the first lecturers to deliver a Dyscalculia course in the country and has qualified many SpLD specialist teachers throughout the UK and internationally.
Kate has run her own business teaching and assessing children and adults with dyslexia and dyscalculia. She is a qualified specialist teacher and assessor of dyslexia and dyscalculia having gained a Post Graduate Diploma in dyslexia, AMBDA and AMBDAD dyscalculia. She also has a Masters in Special Educational Needs.
She has also been a consultant for Skills for Life (Department of Education and Employment) delivering teacher training throughout the UK in adult education and offender learning. Her teaching career started in Offender learning and has completed research in a female Offender learning provision.
